Working as a journalist since 2009, Alexander writes about technology and tech policy-making in the European Union for netzpolitik.org, a German tech news website. His work has also appeared in Politico.eu, the European Review of Books, euobserver, VoxEurope, NiemanReports, Übermedien, Der Standard, die tageszeitung, Tagesspiegel, Der Falter, Die Furche and other outlets.

Alexander is co-author of the study “Google, the media patron”. He serves on the international advisory board of Access Info Europe, a non-profit organisation committed to defending and promoting freedom of information.
